Stuart began competitive driving in 1982 campaigning a Ford Escort Mexico in special stage rallying. Circuit racing soon followed, starting in British Formula Ford, progressing through Clubman’s B sport, Formula Ford 2000 and Formula 3 achieving out right and class wins. After a period of retirement Stuart was soon back to race winning ways and today competes and drives Formula Ford, Classic Formula 3, Formula 5000 and GT cars both old and new.
As an ARDS qualified race instructor Stuart travels to circuits in the UK and around the world including Imola, Mugello, Nurburgring, Sepang, Spa, Zanvort and Zolder, His driver coaching services are used by both private individuals and worldwide global corporate bodies. Two such clients are well known celebrity Rowan Atkinson and supercar manufacturer Ferrari.
Stuart is also a motoring correspondent for BBC Radio Manchester, Channel M TV and AMG TV which enables him to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new models and driving topics.
Stuart believes that as a high performance driver coach it is essential to effectively communicate driving techniques and also enhance a driver’s road and track enjoyment.
Despite his years as a professional driver Stuart is still a motoring nut and never tires of strapping into another car.
